Tanya first tried the circus arts in San Francisco in 1999, during a 12-year career as a very tall artistic gymnast. She was instantly hooked by the thrill and the many possibilities for self-expression, but she put circus aside to pursue an academic life.
Then, after receiving her BS in nuclear engineering in 2003, she decided that a career as a rocket scientist wasn't in the cards just yet!
Tanya took her chance to return to circus, and happily, was accepted to the National Circus School on Montreal. A 2006 graduate after three years of professional formation in aerial arts and contortion, Tanya is now a multi-talented artist, ready to amaze you with everything she can do!
Tanya will be joining Pendulum for the 2007-2008 season. |
