July 2004 Tampa, Florida- Alliance for Community Media’s Hometown Video Festival has awarded Emily Roland for the best music video in the professional division for “Pendulum Aerial Dance presents: On the Fly” filmed in Portland, Oregon in April of 2003 with the music of Sasha Lazard from her album Myth of Red. This video premiered on Portland Community Media channels 11, 22 and 23 and can still be viewed today on these channels. Alliance for Community Media is a nonprofit, national membership organization founded in 1976, the Alliance represents over 1,000 Public, Educational and Governmental (PEG) access organizations and community media centers throughout the country.

The “On the Fly” ethereal and enchanting video caught the eye of a Trio Network producer who used the footage from the performance of “On the Fly” for the Sasha Lazard video “Ode to Innocence” that was seen throughout the country on cable, in clubs and stores. In addition got a good response at the Toronto Film Festival of 2003. Rolands hard work was aided by graphic designer, William Leverette who created the unique titles for the video. Emily is continuing a documentary project on Pendulum and more creative performance videos.
